Swimming pool leak detection on the Costa del Sol
Is your pool losing water and do you have to keep topping it up? It could be evaporation, but it could also be a leak in the pipework, the skimmers, the lights or the pool shell itself. Guzsan Localizaciones has 26 years of experience finding water leaks, using pressure testing, tracer gas and acoustic listening equipment (geophone) to pinpoint the exact spot, so we only open up where the leak is.
In most cases we find the leak without draining the pool.
No surprises: if you decide not to go ahead with the repair quote, you only pay for the leak detection.

Is your pool leaking? Warning signs
How we find the leak
We check the whole pool circuit (skimmers, return inlets, main drain, lights and the pipework to the filter) using pressure tests, tracer gas and a geophone until we find the exact spot. Then we repair it by opening up only where the leak is.
What if the leak is in the pool shell?
If the leak is in the pool shell itself, we can apply a sealant product that is poured straight into the water. In our experience, around half of these leaks are sealed this way, with no building work and no need to drain the pool.
The water level drops faster than normal
If you need to top it up every few days, it is probably not just evaporation.
Damp patches nearby
Puddles, unusually green grass or sunken ground near the pool or the pump room.
Higher water bills
Unexplained water consumption often points to a leak in the pipes or the automatic top-up.
